The Rotary Peace Fellowship Program offers fully funded opportunities for international students to pursue a Master’s degree or a Professional Development Certificate in peace and conflict resolution.

Centers Offering the Master’s Program:

  • International Christian University, Tokyo, Japan
  • The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia
  • University of Bradford, Bradford, England
  • Duke University & University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA
  • Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden

Centers Offering the Certificate Program:

  • Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda
  • Bahçeşehir University (BAU), Istanbul, Turkey

Program Levels:

  • Master’s Degree Program
  • Professional Development Certificate Program

Program Duration:

  • Master’s Degree: 15 months to 2 years
  • Certificate Program: 1 year

Total Fellowships Available:

  • Master’s Program: 50 awards
  • Certificate Program: 80 awards

Financial Coverage:

This is a fully funded fellowship covering:

  • Tuition fees
  • Travel expenses (to and from the country of study)
  • Conference and research expenses
  • Accommodation and board
  • Internship expenses (for master’s fellows)
  • Course materials and field study expenses (for certificate fellows)

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must meet the following requirements before applying:

  • Proficiency in English
  • Commitment to peace and conflict resolution through academic, professional, or community service achievements

For Master’s applicants:

    • Must have a bachelor’s degree
    • Minimum of three years of relevant work experience after the most recent degree
    • Must not be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program

For Certificate applicants:

    • Must have at least five years of relevant work experience
    • Must outline a clear action plan for social impact
    • If previously attended a certificate program or global grant scholarship, a three-year gap is required before applying for the Master’s program
  • Must have strong leadership skills
  • Active Rotary members, employees of Rotary clubs, Rotary International, or other Rotary entities are ineligible
  • Candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply
