Eligibility for Training Scholarships
To be eligible to apply, you must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a 2:1 degree (or a predicted 2:1) in a Bachelor of Honor’s degree (or equivalent), OR
- Possess a relevant PhD or Master’s degree, or a recognized equivalent.
Additionally, your qualification must be in one of the following languages:
- French
- German
- Spanish
Your application may still be considered if you have:
- A Bachelor of Honor’s degree (or equivalent) in another subject, OR
- A 2:2 degree (or predicted 2:2), provided you can demonstrate significant knowledge of the target languages.
Lastly, you must have secured a place on an eligible, non-salaried languages teacher training scheme in England for the 2025/26 academic year by September 2025.
