Eligibility Criteria: To qualify for the Joint Japan World Bank Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Nationality: Be a citizen of a developing country that is a member of the World Bank.
  • Citizenship: Must not hold dual citizenship with any developed country.
  • Health: Be in good health.
  • Education: Hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), obtained at least three years prior to the application deadline.
  • Admission: Secure unconditional admission to a participating program by the scholarship application deadline.
  • Professional Experience: Have a minimum of three years of full-time, paid, development-related work experience within the past six years. Part-time employment may also be considered.
