The Rotary Peace Fellowship Program offers fully funded opportunities for international students to pursue a Master’s degree or a Professional Development Certificate in peace and conflict resolution.
Centers Offering the Master’s Program:
- International Christian University, Tokyo, Japan
- The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia
- University of Bradford, Bradford, England
- Duke University & University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA
- Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden
Centers Offering the Certificate Program:
- Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda
- Bahçeşehir University (BAU), Istanbul, Turkey
Program Levels:
- Master’s Degree Program
- Professional Development Certificate Program
Program Duration:
- Master’s Degree: 15 months to 2 years
- Certificate Program: 1 year
Total Fellowships Available:
- Master’s Program: 50 awards
- Certificate Program: 80 awards
Financial Coverage:
This is a fully funded fellowship covering:
- Tuition fees
- Travel expenses (to and from the country of study)
- Conference and research expenses
- Accommodation and board
- Internship expenses (for master’s fellows)
- Course materials and field study expenses (for certificate fellows)
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must meet the following requirements before applying:
- Proficiency in English
- Commitment to peace and conflict resolution through academic, professional, or community service achievements
For Master’s applicants:

- Must have a bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of three years of relevant work experience after the most recent degree
- Must not be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
For Certificate applicants:

- Must have at least five years of relevant work experience
- Must outline a clear action plan for social impact
- If previously attended a certificate program or global grant scholarship, a three-year gap is required before applying for the Master’s program
- Must have strong leadership skills
- Active Rotary members, employees of Rotary clubs, Rotary International, or other Rotary entities are ineligible

- Once submitted, applicants will receive confirmation of their endorsement and Peace Fellowship application status.
