Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Open to all international students worldwide (Chinese nationals are not eligible).
  • Applicants must be in good health, both mentally and physically.
  • Master’s Degree: Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 35.
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Applicants must have a high school diploma and be under 25.
  • Strong academic record is required.
  • Language Requirements:
    • Chinese-taught Programs: HSK Level 5 (score of 180 or above).
    • English-taught Programs:
      • Native English speakers are exempted.
      • Non-native speakers need a TOEFL score of 80 or IELTS score of 6.0.
  • Applicants must meet all additional requirements set by Tianjin University.

Scholarship Benefits

Tianjin Government Scholarship offers financial support for international students pursuing higher education in China.

For Master’s Degree:

First Prize Scholarship:

  • Full tuition fee coverage (30,000 RMB).
  • Monthly stipend of 1,700 RMB (for 10 months).
  • Comprehensive medical insurance (800 RMB).

Second Prize Scholarship:

  • Tuition fee coverage (30,000 RMB only).

For Bachelor’s Degree:

First Prize Scholarship:

  • Full tuition fee coverage (20,000 RMB).
  • Monthly stipend of 1,400 RMB (for 10 months).
  • Comprehensive medical insurance (800 RMB).

Second Prize Scholarship:

  • Tuition fee coverage (20,000 RMB only).
